Eigenphoto for iOS Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the Eigenphoto iOS app only. It does not cover website sign-up forms or other website data collection handled outside the app.
1. Summary
- Photo and video analysis happens on-device on your iPhone.
- Your photos and videos are not uploaded to Eigenphoto servers.
- Eigenphoto uses Mixpanel for product analytics.
- Analytics include product-usage events, coarse library-scale bands, and limited feature-progress and reliability telemetry, not exact library contents.
- Eigenphoto does not track you across third-party apps or websites.

3. What the iOS App Processes Locally
Eigenphoto analyzes your Apple Photos library on-device to help you review and clean up media.
Local processing can use:
- timestamps and other media properties
- photo/video type and duration metadata
- embeddings and clustering inputs
- quality signals
- face presence and face counts
- review actions such as keep, delete, compress, and Auto-Pick decisions
Photos, videos, filenames, asset identifiers, and location data are not uploaded to Eigenphoto.
4. Analytics
Eigenphoto for iOS uses Mixpanel for product analytics.
The app sends:
- product-usage events such as onboarding, review, quota, compression, Auto-Pick, paywall, delete, and apply actions
- coarse library-scale telemetry such as
library_size_band,library_photo_count_band, andlibrary_video_count_band - limited feature-progress and reliability telemetry such as startup/background-work events and Similar backlog presence plus progress fraction
The app does not send:
- photo or video content
- filenames
- asset IDs
- face images or embeddings
- exact library-size values
- exact device-storage values
- cross-app or cross-site tracking data
Analytics are used only to understand product usage, reliability, and feature demand.
5. Storage on Your Device
Eigenphoto stores app data locally inside its app container, including:
- the app database
- rule and review state
- Auto-Pick settings
- other local app state needed to run the product
6. Deletion Behavior
Deletion is always user-triggered.
When you confirm a deletion in the iOS app, the selected items are moved to the Photos app’s Recently Deleted album. They remain recoverable there under Apple’s normal Recently Deleted behavior.
7. Tracking
Eigenphoto does not use your data to track you across third-party apps or websites.
8. Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at the app’s privacy policy URL with a new “Last updated” date.
